What I’ve learnt over 12 years and probably 500 weddings is invaluable. I’ve been the newbie, made the mistakes and developed a style that I feel stands me apart from the rest of the industry. But even after all this time I’m still experimenting and experiencing things for the first time, knowing I can’t control the uncontrollable and using my experience to get creative with the unexpected.
Which may all sounds very high brow for a category of photography that traditionally plays it safe and cookie cutter BUT with me it will be different because your wedding WILL be different.

INVISIBILITY CLOAK AND A CREATIVE EYE
If you need me on your wedding day you will always find me. I’m always right there in the room looking for the action. But if you don’t need me (which will be like 99% of the time) then you won’t know I’m there. It’s taken me 12 years to perfect the art of being visible and invisible at the same time and although it defies the laws of physics it’s what being a great documentary wedding photographer is all about.
But when I do have you to myself for 15 minutes, I have planned out and thought out what I’m going to do before I sneak you off. My portraits may look time-consuming but I promise you they are not. And that’s why they look relaxed and unforced and the kind of images of you both you’re finally gonna be desperate to frame and display.

I honestly don’t believe many wedding photographers can be as equally focused and awarded for BOTH their documentary and portrait work as I am.

CAPTURING ANARCHY IN THE UK AND BEYOND SINCE 2012
The key to capturing the best wedding photography is to allow yourself to get lost in the emotions and energy of the day. And no time is this more relevant than when the lights go down, the band or DJ fire up and after a day of good food, friendship, and emotions everybody really lets loose.
Traditionally wedding photographers bash out a few first dance shots and disappear without even a goodbye. But not with me! I’m in it for the party and I’m letting that energy drag me through until the end and not leaving without a sweaty hug and a memory card full of craziness.
That first hour or so on a packed dance floor is one of my favourite parts of any wedding. And almost every couple I have ever worked with has trusted me to capture that based on the style and energy of the hundreds of dance floor shots in my portfolio.
And for every couple that books me I have tones of advice and experience to share on how to get the most energy and craziness out of their evening receptions (beyond the obvious free bar 😉 )
