As I drove down the long tree lined driveway I caught my first glimpse of the stunning Hengrave Hall. This being my first visit I was ready to soak up and experience everything with an open mind…..no preconceptions and absolutely no desire to recreate images that are inspired by the hundreds of other wedding photographers who regularly shoot there.

I also realised that this was my first “country house” wedding of 2025 and how suited to winter weddings places like Hengrave Hall are: Warm winter light, history, texture and an atmosphere unlike any other type of venue. English eccentricity and grandeur at its very best……it was going to be a good day!

And it wasn’t just good….it was perfect, as hopefully these 40 (of my favourite) images prove.

And Ruby and Zach got the day of their dreams. Letting go and embracing everything the day threw at them meant they never stopped smiling and were an absolute dream to hang out with and capture.
