The Tythe Barn is a beautiful and stylish wedding venue located in Launton, near Bicester in Oxfordshire, England. The venue is a beautifully restored 14th-century barn that has become a popular choice for stylish couples wanting a mix of rustic history and modern luxury.
It now offers luxury accommodation making it perfect for a multi day celebration.

Tythe combines a collection of beautifully restored barns and an impressive 17th century Farmhouse which together provide the perfect setting to stay and prepare for your wedding.
The estate is set in the Oxfordshire countryside but located only minutes from junction 9 of the M40 and two mainline train stations, there’s also space to land a helicopter. The two main barns provide a combined 263.52sqm of space while the 17th Century farmhouse offers seven double ensuite bedrooms alongside a Shepherd’s Hut for two and tennis court.
Rich in style, design and personality, Tythe is available to hire exclusively and enables you to enjoy the surroundings before and after your wedding day. It’s located at the very heart of the Deeley farm which has been owned by the same family for over 500 years.
That family owned attention to detail definitely stands it apart from so many other barn venues in the UK.

THE CEREMONY
WHERE TO GET HITCHED AT TYTHE
Being Licensed for marriages means you can hold both a registar led or more informal Celebrant/Friend led ceremony in either the 14th century Thatched Barn or outside in the courtyard.
Adjoining the grounds is a 12th Century local chapel called St Marys which is available for a Church ceremony.
Having captured weddings ay Tythe many times I am always happy to offer my advice on ceremony locations and timings etc.
ACCOMODATION
WHERE TO STAY – WEDDINGS AT THE TYTHE
For you and your wedding party Tythe offers a 7 double bedroom luxury Farm House just steps away from the main wedding Barn. The perfect place to stay, relax and get ready on the big day itself.
There is also a separate Nook offering accommodation and a place to get ready as well as a Shepherd’s Hut for additional guest accommodation.
