The Bethnal Green Town Hall was constructed in the early 20th century, with its foundation stone laid in 1909 by then-Prime Minister H.H. Asquith.
The building was designed by architect Percy Robinson in the Edwardian Baroque style, characterized by its grand facade, decorative details, and classical influences.
