Frankie + Luke // Trinity Buoy Wharf // London // 1st July 2021

 

History was made on the above date. In a shock positive move in the World of Weddings, couples were finally allowed to official marry in the open air!!! No more stepping inside a makeshift potting shed or ugly gazebo……now the only limitations are the great British weather. And after a year of hell working for the NHS, postponements and confusion no couple deserved a perfect summer day more than Frankie and Luke, OFFICIALLY Tower Hamlets first ever outdoor married couple.

I have had an emotional few weeks. Back to what I love, surrounded by positivity and happiness whilst trying to navigate fuzzy legislation and ever changing guidelines. Trying to be creative and sensible at the same time.

I would wear a space suit if it meant being able to capture days like these, people like this. Human beings deserve the chance to celebrate their love for each other and I want to be there to capture it for them.

These photos are stunning. I’m so happy and thank you so much. You capture important parts I remembered but also the moments I missed between family and friends. This has come at a perfect time as Luke’s grandad is in the last days of his life and it means the world that we can share then with our family. So thank you so much xxx

 

I feel so lucky to be back and spending time with couples like Frankie + Luke. Weddings truly astound and amaze me…I always feel as much as a guest as a photographer. Working with couples who welcome me into their celebrations and just trust me to do my thing is quite simply the best job on earth…and BOY how I have missed it.
