tessa + rob // mayfair library // elopement
I had never captured an elopement before. So I didn’t know what to expect. But I like that. I waited outside the Library in Mayfair enjoying the early morning, late summer sunshine. I had agreed to meet Tessa, Rob and their Daughter Lily at 9.30am.
What followed was just wonderful. Simple, personal, no fuss. A reminder what getting married is all about. Just Tess, Rob and Lily with a little help from 3 “strangers” (me and 2 rent a witnesses) celebrating their love for each other.
We walked the streets, we took some photos, we all headed to St Pancras, we chatted, we drank some champagne and then we waved Tess, Rob and Lily off as they boarded their train to Paris where I am reliably informed that they ate hotdogs and drank more champagne in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Just as they had done years before when they first met.
Sometimes it’s the simple things……
