Bassmead Manor Barns is situated in Staploe, near St Neots in Cambridgeshire, within easy reach of Cambridge and Bedford.
The venue is set amidst the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside, providing a tranquil and scenic backdrop for wedding photography and celebrations.
Owned by the same family for 5 generations the estate’s blend of modern styling with centuries-old architecture truly reflects the journey of the Squire family to modernise Bassmead into the well-loved venue it is today.
The venue includes a historic 16th-century manor house, Bassmead Manor, which adds a touch of elegance and charm to the setting.
The manor house is often available for various aspects of wedding celebrations, including preparations and photography.
The main focus of the venue is its beautifully restored barns, which serve as the perfect spaces for a wedding ceremony and reception.
THE CEREMONY
WHERE TO GET HITCHED AT BASSMEAD MANOR BARNS
Offering a Licence for civil ceremonies you have the choice of either a legally binding registrar led ceremony or a celebrant/friend/family member led ceremony
The beautifully and aptly named Rickety Barn serves as the perfect ceremony space, wonderfully restored and yet still retaining its history and character.
During the Summer months the option to hold your ceremony outside is also catered for with a dedicated rustic gazebo and seating area overlooking the surrounding farm land.
ACCOMMODATION
GETTING READY – WEDDINGS AT Bassmead Manor Barns
Bassmead Manor offers a Honeymoon cottage and a small selection of rooms for wedding guests. Most importantly it allows for wedding prep both in the honeymoon suite and also the fantastic bridal suite that has a specifically designed bridal prep salon and dressing mezzanine.
