I guess what I am always looking for as a wedding photographer is contrasts. The quiet moments of pre ceremony contemplation juxtaposed with the sheer energy of the dance floor. The seriousness of the ceremony contrasted against the silliness of bridal prep. If you look for them all weddings contain these contrasts and Laura and Dan’s epic day at the amazing Babington House had them BY THE TRUCK LOAD!

Almost 40 weddings into a crazy busy season and I guess you could start to feel a little jaded BUT weddings like this smack you around the face and drag you along with them. NO time to think. Just dive straight in and react react REACT. Its my favourite way to work. In fact its the only way I know how to work and on days like L+D’s its exciting, exhilarating and the best job in the world.
