An Autumnal Wedding At Lillibrooke Manor
A Wedding Photographers year tends to slow a little as Autumn arrives. But thankfully there are always a few autumn and winter weddings to capture. Twinkly lights, softer light and those oh so lovely autumnal tones. Such a lovely change and welcome challenge creatively and aint no better place for an autumnal wedding than a great big barn venue and Lillibrooke manor is one of the best. And the legends and all round superstars that are Amy and Reggie kicked off my Autumn wedding season in style. Here are fifty-ish of my favourite wedding images from their amazing wedding day.
Alternative Wedding Photography // Berkshire // Lillibrooke Manor
Offering numerous ceremony options, including a beautiful smaller white washed barn as used by Amy + Reggie, Lillebrooke manor is a great exclusive venue with its huge barn as its crowning glory. Tonnes of space to celebrate and party whatever the season. And creatively I have always loved working there, although I would have enjoyed shooting Amy + Reggie in a garden shed. So much fun, laughter and energy pouring out of them….and like so many of my couples totally trusting and excited by my photography. LOVE you guys!!
Relaxed, fun, champagne and laughter filled Bridal prep whilst Reggie and his team of ushers welcomed guests and sorted finishing touches for the ceremony.
Mum and Dad reacting with emotion and obvious approval to Amy’s Wedding dress. Anybody who follows my work knows I bloody love a wedding dress with pockets and Amy’s Jesus Peiro was stunning and had JP’s signature pockets. Practical, super stylish and so damn photogenic (everybody feels more relaxed with their hands in their pockets FACT)
Wedding ceremonies conducted by celebrants are fast becoming my couples most likely choice of ceremony. So much more personal and relaxed and NO RULES!!!! (for the couple, wedding guests or the wedding photographer) And if you choose a friend to be your own celebrant for the day then thats even better. Enter James who delivered a perfect ceremony full of love and friendship with aplomb!
POCKETS!!!!!!!!! It was raining a little but us wedding photographers, even during the summer, are well practised in getting creative with indoor spaces. First up a covered area inside Lillibrookes walled garden and then after a chat earlier in the day with Lillibrookes owner I had gained permission to have a nosey in the derelict Manor House. When a venue tells me “But no photographers ever go in there” thats music to my ears. I want my wedding portraits to look as far from every other wedding at the same venue as possible and I love my couples for following me into the least likely of spaces in the search of that alternative wedding photo!!
Capturing the personality of grandparents is always on my to do list. I love having a laugh and a giggle with those wedding guests of a certain vintage. So much character and sweet little moments to photograph and great memories to last way beyond the wedding day itself.
Amy + Reggie thanks for having me along and being a wedding photographers dream couple! I had a blast and loved sharing your wedding day with you and all your friends and family!!
