ALTERNATIVE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY // NOTTINGHAM // THE CARRIAGE HALL

I LOVE capturing wedding prep at a couples home, especially when it’s a busy and loving family home like Ben + Laura’s. Laura putting on her stunning pre loved Temperley dress in her teenage daughters bedroom and then walking down the same stairs she does every morning in her dressing gown (although I imagine Laura even looks glam in her dressing gown) are the kind of memories that I love to capture. Truly personal and special.

And weddings are always so much more than a cake and a legal document, for B+L it was a cementing of their family unit and Ben’s mention of Laura’s girls in his vows and the subsequent speeches didn’t leave a dry eye in the house. And as for 2 year old Ted, well he was just like any other 2 year old at a wedding, slightly confused and put out by the whole thing! So knowing he will be able to look back at these images in a few years and see how smart he looked and the Bus named in his honour always makes my heart sing!!
