A Destination Wedding at The Asylum Chapel
It seems strange to label a wedding in my beloved London as a “destination” wedding. But thats exactly what it was for Anna (from Germany) and Jeremy (from France) who now both live in California.
Having met in London they decided it would be a great to get married in a city they love and chose my all time favourite London Wedding Venue, The Asylum Chapel as the place to gather their friends and family from all over the globe.
As a London Wedding Photographer with a love of the alternative I have obviously shot the Asylum Chapel many, many times as its such a good magnet for couples who appreciate my style of wedding photography BUT I will never tire of its crumbly cool and painterly light EVER!!! (seriously if you are looking for an Asylum Chapel Wedding Photographer then I am your man!!!!)
The Wedding Day
A+J had rented an Air BNB close to both their venues and after grabbing some shots of prep I travelled with Anna and her Brother to where Jeremy and all the guests awaited at The Asylum. The ceremony was a beautiful and personal affair conducted by a close friend and after confetti and canapés everybody hot footed it to another of my favourite London Wedding venues, The Tanner Warehouse in Bermondsey. Such a great party venue with loads of quirky features and tonnes of space with that cool, industrial vibe that I love to shoot in so much.
Anna + Jeremy it was an absolute pleasure to be your London wedding photographer. Thanks so so much for contacting me from across the pond and trusting me to be a part of your fantastic wedding.
Here are fifty-ish of my favourite photos from your wedding day.
