A Stylish Black Tie Wedding at The NED

If your a Wedding Photographer lucky enough to shoot at The Ned you know your in for a super stylish day in wonderful surroundings right in the heart of London’s Historic City. I have been lucky to shoot at the Ned a few times now and it never disappoints. The stunning bar and reception are amazing and knowing couples get complete private access to a whole floor of the hotel including the breathtaking Tapestry room make it a Wedding Photographers dream.

I’m gonna break with tradition here. Abigail and Alistair’s black tie wedding was so stylish and timelessly cool that I’m only going to share my favourite Black + White images from the day. Of course their final private gallery will be my usual mix of both colour and B+W wedding photographs but there was just something about the venue and elegance of the day that screamed black and white to me.

So lets tell their story in monochrome.

The Wedding Day

Getting ready in different parts of the hotel meant I was able to spend the morning “flitting” between Alistair and his Boys and Abigail and her Bridesmaids. Abigail had a stunning Jesus Peiro gown WITH POCKETS (I have mentioned I love a wedding dress with pockets!!) and I also got to see her Stella McCartney gown hanging and awaiting a quick change for later in the day. Alistair and his boys sipping Champagne from Coupes and getting into their Tux’s screamed timeless cool and they were a great bunch of lads…it was going to be a good day.

A beautiful wedding ceremony, drinks reception on the terrace over looking The City, a walk around the Royal Exchange and The Ned for some wedding portraits, amazing speeches, food and magic in the tapestry room and then dancing into the night. And those Champagne Coupes overflowed all day long….what an amazing Wedding day. Thanks so much A+A for inviting me along, you both f*ckin nailed that Hollywood cool!!!
